Stoneville is proud to possess one of the highest ranking volunteer fire departments in the state in terms of efficiency, punctuality in answering calls, fire prevention and emergency medical service. Fire protection is provided beyond the corporate boundaries, as well.

If you are interested in joining the Stoneville FD, we accept applications on Monday nights from 7pm to 9pm.

At the Town Hall meeting on September 6th, 2011, the Mayor of Stoneville, Rex Tuggle, presented plaques to the Fire and Police Departments in recognition of their contributions to our community. The presentation was in honor and memory of the 10th anniversary of the attacks on September11th, 2001.

Weather

A Tornado Warning is issued by the National Weather Service when

• radar indicates a tornado could develop within minutes
• or radar indicates a tornado has developed
• or a tornado has been sighted

A Tornado Warning activates the siren to blast a constant tone.

Fire and Medical Emergencies

A repeated up and down siren tone alerts first responders to a fire or medical emergency.

Monthly Test

The siren is tested on the 1st Sunday of each month at 2pm for approximately 1 minute.
